Interviewer: Why the Witcher?

Jeff: Oh man, I think I fell in love with the Wticher in 2016 or 2015 when the Witcher 3 came out. And I was just in love with the lore since then so that was a big part of it. And Batman’s always been a part of me too. So the two of those together was just destiny.

Interviewer: Okay, okay. I’ve always felt like, I guess the idea of batman and butcher and, basically a whole bunch of other characters that are loving to just brood by themselves and adopting little children to actually fight their crew, in like a bear wolf and cub kind of situation, and in that are you imagining that like, Siri and Robin would actually join the fight in later scripts? Or?

Jeff: No, no, the reason why this series was brought up was because in one of the ending sequences of the Witcher 3 game, she speaks of she went on a planet where there was flying cars and people with metal on their heads and I think that was from, um, a video game insider peak of projects leading to their cyberpunk game, but I took that as just like a perfect segway as a little nod to the witcher game.

Interviewer: Yeah, yeah, okay. Um, when they actually are like I guess in this conversation with each other, are you actually trying to show, like, the levels of Batman vs the Witcher because obviously Batman is all about prep time and The Witcher is just, you know, he just carries all of his tools with him no matter what, you know, he can’t exactly go back to his Brotherhood and like, go back again. So, like, I guess in your head, like what are you. Are you a bad chick? Like how do these guys actually take on each other and why it’s that bad, just you know, facing this guy head on already.

Jeff: Yeah so, um Carol’s gonna be ready no matter what, Geralt is going to be all emotion and brutality and taking things as they come. Batman is going to be the designer, the planner, the executioner. Step by step he’s going to have it completely calculated out no matter what the situation is. But geralt is also tough because he can roll with a person that is against that as well. So the two of those meeting is almost like, it’s going to be a draw no matter what. They have the ultimate tactician vs the ultimate planner and that’s what you’re going to get. A stalemate.

Interviewer: Okay, okay. It just felt kind of awkward? Because like, geralt actually drinks a potion to actually gain more magical powers which makes him totally unstoppable practically. But here is batman, you know, completely mortal and all he has is just a lot of money and baby trauma. And you tell me that they’re going to be level. So that’s an interesting toss I would actually roll a dice for that one. With that being said, how long have you been a batman fan?

Jeff: I know everybody has has probably been stuck in with a lot of people with the Tim burton batman

Interviewer: Okay okay. And is that the Batman that you are advancing in this fight? I know there are so many of them.

Jeff: No, no. I think i would actually lean more towards the comic book look aesthetically.

Interviewer: Okay, okay. Now I’m gonna go right ahead and like actually go, uh, dig it up further. Are you thinking like you’re one batman?

Jeff: I was thinking like Arthur Miller Batman

Interviewer: What comic book are you talking about

Jeff: Uh, I’d lean more towards like an Alex Ross

Interviewer: Okay yeah. That’s awesome. And oh, this? Uh, what’s it called? I guess the world that you actually bring both in. I just don’t know-

Jeff: No, this was more just like, a one off. This isn’t a design to be like a giant experience between a mix of worlds. It was supposed to be just a fun exercise of two iconic characters meaning I don't it wasn't really a thing beyond that yeah yeah it was it was just intended to be like a a nice exercise to stretch Two Worlds that was it that wasn't anything else besides that lined up or anything

Interviewer: Wonderful. I'd like to actually open question to anybody available that's Superman at the end right um let's say Dr Manhattan was probably closer to it oh dang we got the triple cross okay this just got Wilder so okay now that's my my question it was like are we literally just uh allowing personalities to just cross in this one is that what?

Jeff: no it's fiction so why not you know it's like just you can throw whatever you want into because that's that's okay it's it's let's all make believe you know so it's just if if if for aesthetic purposes this feels like if I saw this movie theater if I saw this short film in a theater I would lose my mind and that's that's the reaction that I wanted to it's like oh my God what can happen next and that's it it's the joy of the imagination just just just going out that's it

Interviewer: okay that's a nice segue into a question from the audience fromFaith Jacobs who asks will you ever consider turning this into a short live or animated

Jeff: I would love to see someone do it I I don't have have the means to do it but I think it would be amazing if someone could could make it absolutely yeah

Interviewer: Well it was a lovely script

Jeff: I felt like the exercise wasn't so amazing with uh just the two characters I found like there was a lot of challenge in uh trying to differentiate geralt versus Batman obviously two brooding characters prep time available and uhyeah just just uh just an interesting mix to the whole fantasy of it all so thank you for the opportunity

Interviewer: It was amazing to hear it!

Jeff: Thank you for everyone involved. Thank you a lot.

Interviewer:  of course of course oh yeah man we were talking about it in rehearsal how we're like "oh Robin and Siri are going to fight in the seaport"

Jeff: Thanks for letting us. Jordan and I were competing for who could get more bass yeah even when I was a girl the girl looked I love it except sides reversed.

Interviewer: last minute foreign are you gonna be writing more scripts like this or was that just a one-off exercise?

Jeff: it was a cool exercise but I'm focusing on more of the um uh my my own stuff now so I've got the the um teaser for the next movie coming out on tomorrow and I'm looking forward to sharing it yeah you can find more at Jay Jinx films
